Public discover nature delights at historic house

An historic Ruthin house has helped all ages learn about how they can make a difference for local nature. Bionet recently held their 2025 Nature Day at Nantclwyd y Dre Ruthin.

The historic house opened the doors to the public on Sunday August 10 to help all ages learn about the nature and wildlife surrounding their communities.

Joining BIONET at the grounds was Chester University, Denbighshire Tree Nursery, Denbighshire Countryside Services,  Clocaenog Red Squirrel's Trust, Ruthin Friends of the Earth, Nature For Health, BTO, Sea Watch Foundation and Wild Ground.

Visitors to the event also had the chance to take part in fun family activities including facepainting, live storytelling sessions, and willow weaving activities.

The Nature Partnership of North East Wales, BIONET covers the counties of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham, working to conserve, protect and enhance the biodiversity of the region for current and future generations.

The Nature Day is funded by the Welsh Government Local Nature Partnership scheme through the WCVA.
