Annual Rhyl Play Day sees 3800 in attendance
Held at Christchurch Playing Fields in Rhyl, the 11th annual National Play Day event held on August 5th saw 3800 people in attendance.
Organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Play Ranger service to help children enjoy their summer holiday, the free event featured a host of activities including circus skills, bouncy castles, bird box making, arts and crafts, giant games and more.
Following on from a highly successful event last year, this year’s theme focussed on the importance of creating opportunities for children to play wherever they are.
Dawn Anderson, Denbighshire Childcare and Play Development Manager said:
“We were delighted to invite local families along to our 11th annual Play Day event.
We had a brilliant turn out once again this year, and I’d like to thank everyone involved for helping to make this popular event such a success.
Each year, this event goes from strength to strength, and is now a firm favourite within the summer holidays for local families.”
