The special event, which was arranged by Denbighshire Registration Services, was attended by Chair of the council, Councillor Bobby Feeley; Councillor Joan Butterfield who is also Deputy Mayor of Rhyl; Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd, Rob Jones; and High Sheriff of Clwyd, David Jones.

During the ceremony, the new citizens made either an oath or affirmation of allegiance to His Majesty King Charles III and pledged their loyalty to the United Kingdom, its democratic values, rights and freedoms.

Superintendent Registrar Sharon Evans, acting on behalf of the UK Home Office and UK Visas and Immigration Service, welcomed the new citizens. Speaking during the ceremony, attendees were reminded that British citizenship brings not only rights and opportunities, but also responsibilities, including respecting others, upholding democratic values and contributing positively to society.

The ceremony also recognised the importance of the diverse talents, backgrounds and experiences that new citizens bring to Denbighshire and the UK.

Chair of Denbighshire County Council, Councillor Bobby Feeley, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome our newest British citizens to Denbighshire. Citizenship ceremonies are always special occasions, celebrating not only individual achievement but also the rich diversity that strengthens our communities.

"We are delighted that these residents have chosen to make Denbighshire their home and extend a warm welcome to them as members of our local community."

Following the ceremony, citizenship certificates and a small token of welcome from the council were presented to each new citizen before a group photograph with dignitaries.

The ceremony concluded with congratulations to all those receiving citizenship and a warm welcome to the local community.
