Rolling Road Closures Planned for Tour of Britain Stage 3 in Denbighshire
Road users are advised to plan ahead on Friday, 21 August 2026, as temporary rolling road closures will be in place across parts of Denbighshire to facilitate Stage 3 of the Lloyds Tour of Britain cycle race.

Denbighshire County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order to enable the safe passage and staging of the race through the county between 10am and 12pm.
The order will introduce temporary rolling road closures, clearways, and the temporary suspension of prescribed speed restrictions on sections of the route while the race is passing through.
During the event:
- Roads along the route will be temporarily closed on a rolling basis as the race approaches and re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.
- Clearway restrictions will be in force, meaning vehicles must not stop or remain parked on affected sections of road.
- While roads are closed, the National Speed Limit will apply to authorised vehicles involved in the operation of the race.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the event.
Roads affected
The following roads will be subject to rolling road closures and associated restrictions between 10am and 12pm on 21 August:
- A541, Rose Garden bends Bodfari to county boundary
- A541, from B5429 Llandyrnog to Rose Garden bends Bodfari
- A541, Blue Hand Corner Bodfari to junction B5429 Llandyrnog
- Bodfari Road, Trefnant
- B5428, from Pen Cae Du crossroads to Trefnant traffic lights
- B5428, Lon Jack Ffrwn junction to Pen Cae Du crossroads, Trefnant
- B5428, from junction Bryn y Garn Road to junction Lon Jack Ffrwn, Henllan
- Garn Lane, Henllan
- Ty Coch Street, Henllan
- Lindir Street, Henllan
- B5382 Henllan Road to County boundary,Henllan
As well as that length of A525 Trefnant traffic lights to Ty Newydd Farm, Trefnant which extends northward from its junction with A541 to its junction with B5429.
Road users are encouraged to allow extra time for their journeys and consider alternative routes where possible during the event period.
