Summer Reading Challenge 2022
The Summer of Fun at Denbighshire Libraries is well on the way.
The STEM themed Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge is engaging hundreds of budding young creative scientists and engineers from all across Denbighshire to join in the fun as they borrow and read great books.
Exciting interactive workshops have been organised at all eight of the libraries in partnership with Xplore! Science Discovery Centre. G2G Communities are holding fantastic and creative Lego sessions at several libraries.
For the little ones Eleni.Cymru have provided Words and Wiggles dance and free movement sessions drawing on a new storybook each week, and the Bookstart team have introduced great Summer rhymetime sessions for babies. The Summer Reading Challenge is as popular as ever with Gadgeteers collecting stickers and incentives while reading for pleasure over the summer.
Hundreds have already signed up and as the challenge continues until the end of September, there is still plenty of time to join by calling into your local library.
Welsh Government funding for the Gadgeteers Summer of Fun workshops was secured by SCL Cymru for all of Wales public libraries.
