Working Denbighshire's Tyler Turner champions neurodiversity on National pageant stage
Tyler Turner, a Wellbeing & Resilience Coach with Working Denbighshire and Neurodiversity Champion, was recently crowned Ms Diamond United Kingdom 2026 and is already using her title to raise awareness of neurodiversity and disability inclusion across the UK.
While many pageant titles focus on fundraising or awareness campaigns, Tyler has used her platform to create practical resources and opportunities that help people feel understood and supported.
The initiative reflects the work Tyler carries out every day through her role at Working Denbighshire. As part of Project Barod, Tyler has delivered a range of wellbeing-focused activities and workshops designed to encourage engagement, creativity and personal development among young people.
These have included creative craft sessions, neurodiversity drop-ins and the 'The Sea In You' project, which combined wellbeing, environmental awareness and marine conservation. Through the programme, young people were encouraged to connect with nature, learn about protecting the environment and build confidence through positive shared experiences.
Tyler's passion for marine conservation extends far beyond her work with Working Denbighshire. Known professionally as the Official North Wales Mermaid™, she has spent many years raising awareness of environmental issues through creative community engagement. Her work has included delivering eco-friendly craft sessions, educational talks, displays and performances, as well as collaborating with local organisations such as Resource Ruthin to make conservation messages accessible and engaging for people of all ages.
More recently, Tyler has supported community initiatives including the RNLI Open Day and fundraising efforts for Swim Safe sessions delivered in Rhyl during the summer holidays. Her environmental advocacy, combined with her commitment to wellbeing and inclusion, reflects her belief that education, creativity and community can be powerful tools for positive change.
Tyler's commitment to creating inclusive opportunities is also reflected in her role as Ms Diamond United Kingdom 2026. During her reign, she introduced a practical one-page profile designed to help individuals communicate their additional needs, including what support is helpful, what they may find difficult and how others can create more accessible environments.
The initiative mirrors the person-centred approach Tyler brings to her work every day, helping people feel understood, valued and empowered to achieve their goals.

Whether that's through my work with Working Denbighshire, supporting young people through Project Barod, or using my pageant title to raise awareness of neurodiversity, it's all about creating spaces where people feel included, valued and understood."
Diamond Pageants has spent the last decade promoting its ethos of "Celebrating the beauty and diversity of everyone", encouraging titleholders to use their platforms to make a positive difference within their communities.
Tyler's work is a strong example of that ethos in action, combining community engagement, wellbeing support and advocacy for neurodivergent individuals.

Tyler's journey as Ms Diamond United Kingdom 2026 will continue in February 2027 when she joins fellow Diamond Royalty at a Royalty Retreat in Morocco. She will then go on to represent the United Kingdom in the Ms category at the International Global Icon Pageant in Las Vegas in August 2027.
As she continues her reign, Tyler hopes to encourage more conversations around neurodiversity, disability awareness and inclusion while demonstrating how small changes can make a significant difference to people's lives.
For Working Denbighshire, Tyler's achievements highlight the positive impact that can be made when passion, lived experience and community support come together to create meaningful change.
