Transformation of Rhyl Leisure Centre complete

As part of a £2.5 million investment by Denbighshire Leisure into its facilities this year, exercise for members of Rhyl Leisure Centre has now been transformed. Customers are delighted with their new look centre, which has seen the gym become the first in North Wales to have the full Technogym Skill Line available.   An exciting series of fitness zones has also been created and the changing areas have been refurbished to the highest standards.

A former drama room on the site has been dramatically redesigned to provide a functional training area offering suspension trainers, punch bags, and plyometric boxes amongst others. Also a range of equipment for a programme of the popular HIIT training has been introduced.

Fans of group cycling are also enjoying new virtual classes in their dedicated cycle studio.

Investment continues across the County

The past five years has seen an unprecedented level of investment into Denbighshire’s leisure facilities, and projects are continuing to be delivered across the County.

Ruthin Leisure Centre are on are schedule to reopen their swimming pool in January 2019, following a £450k+ refurbishment of the pool hall. In addition to the hall upgrades, which have included a new roof and installation of new LED lighting, the changing rooms have been completely remodelled and will now include a village style area, new group changing and a new accessible changing area with hoist and easy access to the pool.

Prestatyn Leisure Centre have recently opened their new changing areas, with both sets of facilities being completely refurbished in a £160k investment.

Denbighshire Leisure’s new flagship attraction SC2 is due to open in Spring 2019.

Rhyl Pavilion Theatre

Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl are looking forward to the launch of their pantomime Aladdin which will run from 11th December to 5th January.

Future shows for 2019 will include Max Boyce, Jason Manford and Joseph - look out for the Spring Programme which will be released in January.
