Mind of my own

Mind of My Own is an online platform that allows children and young people working with Denbighshire Education and Children’s Services to engage with their worker and share their views about the care they receive, their concerns, worries and successes.

Children and young people can access the app on their own at any time, or can use Mind of My Own alongside their allocated worker.

To date, 215 young people have accounts, 154 workers have accounts, 509 statements have been received from children and young people.

Mind of My Own held their Annual Award Ceremony earlier this year to celebrate the fantastic achievements of members of the Mind of My Own community. Our very own Jane Hodgson, Senior Family Support Worker (Team Around the Family) was the well-deserved winner of the Mind of My Own High Flyer Award, recognising her achievement in using the platform in Denbighshire Education & Children’s Services as part of her work with children and young people.

Jane has received over 80 statements from children and young people working with the service, ensuring their views about their life and care are heard and their outcomes and wellbeing are improved.
