Denbighshire Nature Day at Nantclwyd y Dre

A family focused event is being held in the gardens of the historic Nantclwyd y Dre, Ruthin, on Saturday 8th June. The event is aimed at encouraging the public to meet some of the amazing conservation organisations working in North Wales and is being hosted by Denbighshire Countryside Service, Denbighshire Heritage Service, Bionet and The Friends of Nantclwyd y Dre. The event will be run in association with the Wales Biodiversity Partnership, as part of Wales Nature Week 2019.

The Nature Day has been organised to provide a platform for conservation organisations and charities to explain who they are, what they do, and how people can get involved with their work. There will be family friendly activities and talks throughout the day aimed at teaching both children and adults about the exciting projects they are involved in from across North Wales and particularly Denbighshire.

The winner and group winners of the recent Bee Friendly logo competition, which schools from across Denbighshire took part in, will be presented with their certificates and prizes on the day. The children and their families are invited to take part in the exciting events planned throughout the day.

The event is open to the public and families are encouraged to attend for a fun day out to learn more about how our wildlife is being protected and how they can get involved with these amazing conservation organisations and charities! The event will be running from 10am – 5pm, so make sure to put some time aside to come join in on some family and nature friendly fun!
