North Wales Businesses Invited to Skills Event

Businesses from across North Wales are being encouraged to attend North Wales Skills: A New Plan, Practical Solutions, a regional event designed to help employers tackle workforce challenges and access practical support.

Taking place at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, on Thursday 12 November 2026 (9am to 1.30pm), the event will bring together employers, training providers and support organisations to launch the new North Wales Skills and Employment Plan.

Gwahoddiad

The event will provide businesses with advice and guidance on recruitment, staff retention, skills development and workforce planning, while showcasing the range of support, funding and training opportunities available across the region.

Figures from the North Wales Skills and Employment Plan highlight the scale of the challenge facing employers, with 53% of businesses identifying recruitment as their main challenge and 56% reporting skills shortages within their workforce.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with organisations that can support their business, learn about current skills and training provision, and gain practical solutions to workforce development challenges.

The event is being organised by the North Wales Regional Skills Partnership, which works with employers, education providers and public sector partners to ensure skills provision meets the needs of the regional economy.
