Meet the authors at Denbigh Library Book Fair
Denbighshire Libraries have a fabulous line of local authors visiting Denbigh Library on Saturday, 13 December from 10am – 11.30am for a Christmas Book Fair.

There will be the chance to chat to the authors about their work over coffee and mince pies and buy signed copies of their books.
Authors include:
- Eryl Jones who’s first novel, Operation Auger, is a thriller set during World War 2.
- Sharon Tyers is the author of ‘Linen and Rooks’, a novel which tells the story of three women who come to 'share' a house in Denbigh. It opens at Lleweni, just outside the town where in the 1800's a Bleach Works was built for bleaching the linen brought over from Ireland, hence the title.
- Vanessa Kalities is the author of Bobby’s Surprise, a lovely picture book which tells the story of Bobby, who finds a special magic when he goes on a picnic, with his mummy and sister, Helen.
- Samantha Maxwell is the Wrexham based author of 3 inspiring titles – CP Isn’t Me, Disabling Ableism and Silenced – three powerful books which challenge perceptions and celebrate resilience. In CP Isn't Me, Samantha shares her own personal experiences of living with mild cerebral palsy in the hope of breaking the stigma associated with disability.
- Gene Moran’s novel, Running on the Spectrum, is partly autobiographical and tells the story of Tom Mallalieu's four terms at Ysgol Abaty, a special school in North Wales catering for secondary students with special educational needs and behavioural issues.
- Graham Wynne Edwards has written a fascinating biography of Richard Jones Berwyn, who was part of the first group to travel on the 'Mimosa' and was very prominent in his effort to establish the Colony in Patagonia.
Councillor Emrys Wynne, Lead Member for Welsh Language, Culture and Heritage, said:
“We’re delighted to be welcoming such a talented group of local authors to Denbigh Library for this year’s Christmas Book Fair. Our libraries play an important role in celebrating creativity and events like this showcase the rich stories and voices we have here in Denbighshire. I would encourage residents to come along, enjoy a warm festive welcome.”
