Denbighshire and Conwy ‘Future Booster’ events aim to boost the futures of our young people

Denbighshire County Council and Conwy County Borough Council recently collaborated to create their ‘Future Booster’ events, designed to help young people between the ages of 18-25 to take control of their future.

The first of the events took place in the Youth Hub in Rhyl, hosted by Denbighshire County Council and Working Denbighshire.

The second saw Conwy Youth Service Progress Project and Conwy Employment Hub play host at Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay.

The aim of these events was to provide advice and information to young people on issues which they face on a daily basis, helping to prepare young people in order that they may be able to make informed decisions on matters affecting their current situation and their plans for the future.

The council teams were supported by various partnering organisations, all of whom offered a range of support regarding issues including:

  • Finances and Benefits
  • Housing
  • Jobs, Skills and Training
  • Wellbeing
  • Healthy Living

Following on from these events, it is hoped that follow on events will take place during the summer months.
