Job Fair held at Llangollen Town Hall a big hit

A Spring Jobs Fair was held at Llangollen Town Hall in April and saw more than 80 people come through the doors.

The fair was held with the aim of allowing people to meet with employers face-to-face and discuss career and employment opportunities.

This was the second job fair held this year, and was organised by the Council’s Working Denbighshire Team, in partnership with Llangollen Town Council.

A wide variety of employers exhibited at the fair, with both local and nationally recognised organisations in attendance such as A N Richards, Preworn Ltd, Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd, The Fire Service, The Army and many more, providing opportunities for individuals at all levels of experience.

This Job Fair was part of the Council's March for Business Month, which is a campaign that provides free workshops, networking events and advice sessions for businesses across Denbighshire throughout the month of March.

Councillor Jason McLellan, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth & Tackling Deprivation said:

“I am pleased to see this latest job fair has been so well attended. These job fairs are vitally important as they connect the people of Denbighshire with both locally and nationally recognised businesses and employers.

This was a great event, which greatly benefited the people of Llangollen, as well as the county as a whole. I would like to thank the whole Working Denbighshire team for their hard work and dedication which really helped to make this event both possible, and a brilliant success.”
