Denbighshire County Council is planning essential road maintenance at locations across the county, with the first works scheduled to begin on 2 November 2026.
The work will include gully emptying, sweeping and sign maintenance. Traffic will be managed using stop/go boards, and some delays and disruption may occur.
All works are subject to prevailing weather conditions and may be postponed at short notice in the event of adverse weather.
Planned works schedule is as follows
- A525 Upper Denbigh Road, St Asaph: From the junction of Bryn Polyn to the Tweedmill access. Work is scheduled to begin on 2 November 2026 and last for two days.
- A543 Groes Road, Denbigh: To the county boundary. Work is scheduled to begin on 2 November 2026 and last for up to five days.
- A542 Horseshoe Pass: From Dafarn Dywyrch roundabout to the Eisteddfod entrance. Work is scheduled to begin on 16 November 2026 and last for up to five days.
Councillor James Elson, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “These essential works will help improve these routes for residents and local businesses. We would like to thank everyone who uses these roads for their support patience while we carry out this important work.”
“We will make every effort to complete this work as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to our residents.”
