Working Denbighshire’s Inclusive Employer Project helping local employers with their recruitment

Denbighshire businesses are benefitting from fully funded specialist HR support to attract, recruit and retain their staff.

The Inclusive Employer project is being delivered by Working Denbighshire on behalf of the Welsh Government’s Trailblazer Pilot scheme. It aims to support twenty local businesses transform the way they recruit to make them more inclusive, so they are accessible to a wider audience of jobseekers.

Running a business inevitably means juggling priorities and dealing with financial pressure. The Project has been helping businesses focus on making practical changes that fit with their business so they can attract, recruit and retain staff. This is not only saving them time and money but is also enabling them to build a more sustainable hiring approach for their business for the future.

Councillor Hugh Evans OBE, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth, Corporate Governance and Tackling Deprivation, said:

“Opening job opportunities to a wider jobseeker audience, particularly people that want to get back to work after being ill or a carer for a long time, or have an impairment, means not only are our businesses reaching local talent that otherwise might have been missed, they are reaching people that are often overlooked and so struggle to improve their life chances.”

If you are a Denbighshire business that currently has an ambition to recruit and could do with our help, then get in touch - we’d love to hear from you. Contact dawn.johnson@denbighshire.gov.uk for further information.
